About the Scottish Terrier

History
The Scottish Terrier is believed to have originated from the Western Islands of Scotland. It was originally known as the Aberdeen Terrier, mainly because this was the area that it was found in the most.

Because of its size, strength and agility the Scottish Terrier was perfectly suited to hunting vermin, such as rabbits, foxes and badgers among the rugged terrain of the Scottish highlands

Today the Scottish Terrier, nicknamed the 'Scottie', can be found in many countries around the world, including France, Germany, Holland, America and South Africa.
