About the Norfolk Terrier |
 |
History
Bred originally to hunt vermin and foxes, the Norfolk Terrier remains a plucky and bold little dog. The Norfolk and Norwich appear very similar, infact before 1964 they were classed as the same breed. The 'flat' ears then came to define the Norfolk and the prick 'up' ears the Norwich.
The Norfolk Terrier as a pet
Norfolk Terriers are good tempered and very happy living with a family either in a flat or a house. These small robust dogs thrive on contact with people. They do, however, enjoy barking and make excellent watchdogs. This fearless terrier will take plenty of exercise if necessary, be it in the park or the countryside. It is wise to keep firm control of him when out for a daily walk as he may indulge in a scrap with other dogs. |
